Frenchgate Centre
| Frenchgate Centre - Doncaster - Décor
Designed by PMP Architects the project at the Frenchgate Centre, Doncaster comprised the refurbishment of the existing shopping centre with a new build section of additional shopping facilities - all linked to a major regional transport hub. The first phase, under main contractor HBG, involved the cladding of wall pilasters and new escalators with Diamond Décor within the existing centre, all carried out at night as the centre continued to trade. The works to the new centre were pilaster cladding and wall linings to the lift lobbies for main contractor Sir Robert McAlpine. The pilaster cappings included the provision of the timber and aluminium ‘frames’ into which the Diamond Décor was installed. The ‘frames’ were manufactured at Chelsea Artisans’ factory facility to minimize on site time. Both phases of the project were completed on time. |
