As part of the Leslie James Architects design for the £25 million pound refurbishment of the Lakeside regional shopping centre in Essex, Chelsea Artisans clad the new scenic lift shafts and lift motor room with Diamond Décor. Under a Design and Build sub-contract package from Ellmer Try JV Chelsea Artisans provided the Diamond Décor cladding and secondary metal sub framing to the main shaft steelwork. The cladding was provided to all four faces of each of the shaft walls creating a fully glazed installation. The works were undertaken while the shopping centre continued to operate and were completed on time for the important Christmas trading period. |
